I have never heard of that brand, but I recently started using a makeup that is made up of micronized minerals, and is supposedly totally gluten-free, but best of all, it's fantastic. I can't buy it locally where I am, so I ordered it online and I love it! For those of us with adult skin problems, it is the smoothest, lightest and best covering makeup out there.

This isn't really an advertisement for them, I just really like the stuff.

Although bare minerals do not contain any gluten-free ingredients I suggest you try it for a day. The main ingredient in bare minerals is zinc, and alot of people have reations to this ingredient. I recently went to a store where bare minerals were sold and was treated to someone putting the makeup on me to see how I'd respond. After two hours my face had a rash and was flaking, then I got stys around my eyes. When I went back to the store the sales women told me that they get two complaints about this type of makeup 1. a bad rash that goes away if you use the product consistently for a few weeks and 2. major dry skin , even though they say you can mix your own moisterizer in it, the makeup will still dry out your skin. When I told her about celiac disease she said that she wouls definetly not recommend mineral makeup.
I have very sensitive skin so I suggest you try it for yourself before making a decision. And if you don't have a store nearby that sells it only buy a small portion of the net.

I too had the issues arise when it came down to makeup. I then decided to try a similar product "Sheer Cover" (you know, the infomercial with Leeza gibbons) the Customer Service rep. assured me that I should have no problems, and I know now, that she was very wrong. This stuff is not cheap, and it looks nice, however, when you are a Celiac, I'm learning that you can never be too careful. I have now been using a little "Clinique" brand powder (I stress a little since I do not really know if it gluten-free) and add it to my moisturizer and settle for a tinted look rather than nothing. So far so good, no reaction, but, I am very curious to see what others are using that I may be able to try. It is so scary, that makeup can actually make you ill, that just kills me. When I found out I had celiacs, I really did not realize how much work would be involved in staying healthy. I am by no means a lazy person, yet, I think you all understand the amount of work involved.
