Hey, I just had a long awaited laser surgery to get rid of the nasty red veins from rosacea today, and now my dermatologist wants me to take Oracea (Collagenex new low dosage doxycycline). I called Callagenex to see if it was gluten-free, and got the usual answer of "we can't guarantee..blah...blah...blah...blah" Now I'm scared to take it.

Has anyone heard of it or tried it?

Sorry I don't know. Which laser did you use to have the spider veins removed?I'm considering doing this in the near future & I'm told some lasers are better with less recovery time.

I just did the little red veins on the face (tired of wearing make up to hide). Supposed to look good as new in 4 to 5 days. But I would hate to have another rosacea breakout after I heal up and she said the Oracea would be a good one to try if I can.

Afraid I don't know the name of the laser. Little pin point laser - I look like I have big black freckles.
