My son has a problem with dairy, so he drinks Rice Dream Rice Milk. But he also seems to have a problem with gluten and the Rice Dream box says "Contains Barley Gluten .002%" Is that enough gluten to cause a problem for someone with gluten intolerance or celiac? How much gluten actually makes you sick? There is a gluten-free rice milk at the store I shop at so it's not a problem to switch.

Most of us here consider that to be not gluten-free. :-) How much it takes to cause symptoms varies greatly from person to person, but damage can be done to his intestines even if he shows no symptoms. In my opinion, it's not worth the risk.

I noticed the warning on the Rice Dream box so I have been putting off trying - what is the brand of rice milk that is gluten-free? Thanks...

Pacific makes gluten-free/DF rice milk and almond milks. There are several other gluten-free/DF rice milk brands. Sorry I've forgotten, but read the ingredient labels. Also Almond Breeze makes a safe almond milk.

I now take Betaine HCl, probiotics, Vitamin D, thyroid supplement, arabinogalactan and DHEA to improve immunity.
