I'm trying to decide whether to do the Enteron test / consultation - I was wondering how much those endoscopic exams cost so I can compare costs - I don't think I'm willing to do a gluten challenge (gluten-free 2 mo now). I know costs vary location to location - any ballpark $number will help.

No insurance, not working - I really have to watch costs - I think if I stay gluten-free free a couple more months I can try and look for work.

My endoscopic procedure was about $2500, which I'm assuming is inflated because they know I have insurance.

I was wondering where you guys live? $1400 and $2500! The copy of the bill I got from my insurance asking if I had any other insurance that could share the cost of the endoscopic test was $6500! This was 2 years ago and that stupid doctor didn't even take any biopsies, so I had to have another biopsy done, just last month, when I finally got another doctor to agree to it. I'm in California, and I was just wondering if the tests cost different in other states. Or maybe the place I had the test done is ripping off the insurance company...
