Quick question, is Whey safe to eat? Its spelling is pretty close to Wheat so I want to make sure. lol :P

Seriously though, is it? There are so many unfamiliar names on the ingretients of some of the stuff I have been looking.

Whey is a milk product and safe from a gluten perspective.

Generally, it is the milky liquid in cottage cheese. In the nursery rhyme when Little Miss Muffett was eating curds and whey she was eating cottage cheese.

Whey is a protein derived from cow's milk. Here is the Wikipedia definition of it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whey_protein

So, it should only be a problem if you're casein intolerant as well.
