Are the refried beans that come on nachos at most mexican restaurants okay to eat, or is it risky business? I oredered nachos a t a mexican place because it seemed like it was all gluten free....

You'd have to ask the restaraunt, I never assume even if it seems like the simplest thing. I know the beans I make at home from a can are fine.

I would also be concerned about the chips. Most are fried in fryers where gluten is also fried. You really need to ask. There is never a "safe" option at a resturant. It is always necessary to ask questions.
