Question About Posting

I just made a post, yet when I click on that forum, I don't see it. It DOES show on the outside of the forum, but when I go in, it's not there. And what does "pinned" mean? Thanks.

"Pinned" means that a moderator has checked the topic, and it is in the category it belongs in. If your post shows on the outside, but not the inside, it could be on the second page. Posts to a topic show in chronological order, from first to last. You might just need to scroll further down or go to the next page.

If you select "view new posts" in the control menu, you'll see it pop up as well. (I find that the most useful way to navigate the posts myself, but we're all different.)

I would assume that you're referring to when you START a new thread. If a topic is not yet pinned, it is towards the back of the forum. When a moderator reads it and decides it's in the correct forum, it will be in the front. Until then, you need to go towards the back of the forum to find it. Topics are organized as follows:

1. Pinned topics (chronologically)

2. Not yet pinned topics (such as yours if you have just created one) (chronologically)

3. Moved topics (chronologically)

I am also confused. I'm having the same problem as Sharon C. Both of our original posts are marked "moved." What does this mean?

"Moved" means that your post was under the wrong topic, and that it was put into the correct one.

Legumes can be a source of wheat contamination, but I assume that you use versions labelled "gluten-free."

You may want to look into Benfotiamine, which is the fat soluble version of B1.

Be sure all testing is completed before going gluten-free, that is, unless you are certain that gluten is the culprit and have decided not to eat it again. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):

As a side note, it seems that medical science has evolved in the past 5-6 years regarding Celiac Disease, and I am now catching up. It seems that anything that disrupts the microbiome sufficiently enough can--in genetically susceptible individuals--lead to Celiac Disease. I have been reading now that antibiotics, excessive simple carbohydrates such as refined sugars and starches, the manner of birth such as C-section vs vaginal delivery, the diversity of one's diet, the presence of certain bacteria or viruses, can all contribute to microbiome dysbiosis, which can lead to Celiac. This is fascinating research.
