Pediatlyte Okay?

Hi,

My 3 1/2 yr old has the flu and I was wondering if anyone knows if Pedialyte (sp?) is okay. I see in my CSA Product Listing Guide that Gatorade is okay. Maybe I wasn't looking closely enough for the Pediatlyte. Also, does anyone have the book that contains the gluten-free info on medications? If so, how do you like it?

I am not sure on Pedialyte, but I do know that freshly squeezed lemon juice is great for electrolyte replacement and a very safe way to go!

Pedialyte is gluten free. It is on the celiac.com website under "mainstream products that are gluten free...medications and medicines."

My little girl (15 mos) has the flu too. We have been giving it to her.

Hey, I am 69 and when I had that flu, my husband gave me pedialyte and it not only stayed down but made me feel much better. Good luck, that flu is really nasty stuff. Shirley

I called the company recently and they confirmed that is is gluten-free, however... that stuff tastes really BAD!! Yuck!! :blink: It's strongly flavored and tastes both salty and sweet...

Where's the Gatorade? :P

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
