Husband has Celiac Disease and
Husband misdiagnosed for 27 yrs -
The misdiagnosis was: IBS or colitis
Mis-diagnosed from 1977 to 2003 by various gastros including one of the largest,
most prestigious medical groups in northern NJ which constantly advertises themselves as
being the "best." This GI told him it was "all in his head."
Serious Depressive state ensued
Finally Diagnosed with celiac disease in 2003
Other food sensitivities: almost all fruits, vegetables, spices, eggs, nuts, yeast, fried foods, roughage, soy.
Needs to gain back at least 25 lbs. of the 40 lbs pounds he lost - lost a great amout of body fat and muscle
Developed neuropathy in 2005
Now has lymphadema 2006
It is my opinion that his subsequent disorders could have been avoided had he been diagnosed sooner by any of the dozen or so doctors he saw between 1977 to 2003

Can you find NOW brand? I take the sublingual B12 from NOW brands. I think some Whole Foods carry the brand.

I have a Whole Foods nearby, but I've never seen that brand in there. Then again, I probably wasn't looking :)

I'll go check it out - thanks!!

I take B-12 Blast from Bricker Labs that I get at Whole Foods. https://www.secured-site7.com/brickerlabs/p...roduct_ID=26002
It used to say gluten-free on the bottle and I noticed it doesn't now so I emailed them before listing it here. The response I received says:
Our B-12 Blast product is absolutely gluten free and is manufactured with only top ingredients and food based vitamins. The quality is in the taste as you know if you have tried other leading brands. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with the best nutritional supplements available.

Thank you, for using our products.

All of the PR aside, I chose this product because it also has folic acid and I was anemic in folic acid when I received my Celiac diagnosis. And I'd love to tell you it made me look like the girl on the webpage, but alas, no. :-)
