Does Anyone Have An "easy" Potato Bread Recipe?

Hello, live in the suburbs of Chicago and recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease a month ago. After many many years living on carbs I'm craving a decent bread. I'm looking for an easy potatoe bread recipe as all the store bought breads are pretty gross with no flavor. I tried a white bread recipe and added potato flour in place of tapioca flour and wow was it gummy. Anyone with suggestions please send them my way-thanks!

Pam

Hi Pam,

My name is David and I'm in Ireland.

.

I couldn't eat store bought gluten-free bread it reminded me of saw-dust so i set about devising

my own recipes for bread and cakes, which I post on the Irish Coeliac (Celiac) Society

Message Board.

.

Below are links to 2 bread recipes (with photo's).

I don't believe in using Pre-packed mixes, I prefer to bake from scratch that way I know that

the end result is the best it can possibly be!

.

Hope this helps, if you need advice or help just ask.

.

This is only thrown in for good measure !! I gave a Doctor a sample of the Artisan Bread to try

and she liked it so much she wants to bake it and she's 'NOT CELIAC'

.

Best Regards,

David

David, your pictures look insanely good!

Does anybody know how to translate grams (which is measurement by weight) into measuring by cups and spoons (which is measuring by volume)? Or doesn't that translate?

And is cornflour the same thing as cornstarch?

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
