I went out with a group of co-workers today for lunch. Originally we were going to Chipolte but it was very crowded so we opted for California Pizza Kitchen. I knew from my research that all their soups and salad dressings had gluten but that a plain field greens salad would work. I talked to the Manager and he said the field green salad comes with pears and candied walnuts. They use fresh pears marinated in balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil and Grey Poupon and salt and pepper. The candied walnuts are coated in honey and sugar. So, I said sounds good, I'll use my own dressing. It was delicious! It's now 2:45 and I have not gotten sick yet so I'm very optimistic. It's probably the only thing we can order there, but that's okay. At least we can be part of the group.
