Does anyone know if Kettle Chips Krinkle Cut are gluten free. Also Pillsbury "funfetti" Icing. Is that gluten free?

Kassandra

Thanks!

I have never heard of the brand of chips you are asking about but I know UTZ and Wegmans kettle chips are gluten free and both marked that way on the packaging.

I always used home made frosting too.

I spoke to someone with Kettle chips and they said that the only flavor that is NOT gluten free is the cheddar beer flavor. It is the only gluten chip in their facility and it, for reasons unknown, does not even test positive for gluten when they batch test. I consider Kettle chips much safer than Lays, except for maybe the Stax. I like to give my son baked kettle chips.

I'm not so sure about the frosting. I know that the only flavor that was not considered gluten free was the coconut pecan--but that was a couple of months ago. You can always call them if in doubt.

Thank you for the info. Every time I try to call them, it's too late as most companies are on the east coast and I'm in CA. I'll try harder.

Yes, pure Kettle, their potatoe chips have been manufactured in a completely gluten-free facility since January of this year.

They have! That's great news. We stopped buying them because I'd had reactions if I ate too many. It will be nice to have a snack once in awhile of chips.

As I mentioned above, when I called them I got a call back from someone who sounded very knowledgeable. She said that the only gluten chip made in their facility is the cheddar beer flavor. Although that chip is made with beer, it tests negative when ELISA tested for gluten. Theoretically, that chip should test positive, but it does not. I consider their chips much safer than the Frito-Lay variety.

I never had a problem with kettle chips, provided they are regular flavour. I have had problems with other flavours. Do't know what caused the problem.

Enlarged lymph nodes in neck and groin with celiac are not uncommon. They can take time to reduce even after going gluten-free. Monitoring is key.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
