I live in Lebabon, Indiana...it's just about a half hour or so northwest of Indianapolis. I am looking for a great support group fairly close to home. If anyone lives near me or knows of any support groups that would be close, please let me know!!!

Check out http://www.glutenfreeindy.com/. They have a support group that meets on the North side of Indy. The next meeting in September 23. I have not been to a meeting yet as my daughter is newly diagnosed but I am going to try to make it to that one.

Rachel -- You're also fairly close to Lafayette (well, closer than I am, anyhow!), so you might want to check out the Indiana Gluten Intolerance Support Team. From what I hear, they're a very friendly, very active group.

Many hard-to-define health problems, some since childhood.
Diagnosed with spastic colon circa 1984.
My father also had many hard-to-define health problems, as did his brother.
His brother's daughter biopsy-diagnosed as celiac, June 2007.
My Prometheus Celiac Plus blood panel results (late November 2007) were **very** negative
---- except for one DQ8 gene.
Awaiting results of EnteroLab stool tests.
Meanwhile, have been gluten-free since 4 December 2007, and starting to feel better!

Hi Rachel,

I'm Nancy Linnemann and I started IGIST (Indiana Gluten Intolerance Support Team) over 20 years ago. We ARE a very friendly and active support group located in Lafayette, IN. We are always ready to welcome new people to our group or help out if we can. One of our members saw this blog when they were googling our new website. If you would like to know more about our group go to our website igist.org or you can contact me at n.linnemann@insightbb.com.

Hi Carrie . . . there are a couple of us on here from the area. Check the link above, it has meetings and events listed for the local group. If you've got any questions about local stores, etc, drop me a PM.
