My Dh has had sprue for 20 years and 6 mos ago the developed this constant itch consuming his entire body. He does not have DH. Could it be that Tide detergent, Downey softner or Tone soap are not gluten-free. If anyone knows plse advise. We are pretty diet safe unless we get unknowingly contaminated. We saw the DR again today and he says he has no idea what the problem is!!! Please advise if anyone knows about these products. Thank you for your advise.

I use Tone and have no issues. I think it highly unlikely that detergent would have any gluten in it. (but, I can be proven wrong

Downy is gluten free. I am allergic to tide so he could be also. Maybe stop using tide and see if he stops itching. My mom and i have always had problems with tide, so now I use All and have never had a problem, I know many people that cant use tide who are celiac and not celiac.

I think those things are gluten-free, but Tide is known to cause itchiness. Try to get a free and clear detergent, or an all natural one and see if that helps
