Hi all... My husband and i went to NYC over Christmas and I was in awwww of all the wonderful gluten-free places to eat. One in particular, had the best bread.....When we inquired if they made it them selves or if a local bakery made it, the owner told us that he gets it from Canada, but wouldn't give us the name or company.... So my question is, do any of you know of a wonderful white bread, perfect for sandwichs, that comes from Canada?

Thanks
Lollie

Hi Lollie,

Maybe it's Sterks? I've heard good things about it. :)

I had a hard time getting the website to work fully but finally it did. I dream of "real" bread that doesn't disintegrate when you add condiments or crumble when you pick up your sandwich. :( Maybe this will be good.

First the guy who wouldn't tell you what it was is IMHO a jerk.
If you can't find that bread, or figure out which one it was, you may want to try Kinnickinnick. The make some very good products. My favorite is their Italian white bread and their hamburger buns. The pizza crust is also really good for a premade one.
Also if you are new to the diet please remember that almost all of our breads need to be microwaved or toasted to improve their texture.
