Hi All,
I just called Wyeth (1-800-322-3129) today to ask specifically if they maintain a gluten-free products list. While they do not maintain a list, they were willing to take questions on any specific products. Here are the results of my call:
Advil - all Advil products are gluten free (tablets, caplets, gelcaps, etc.), including Advil Cold & Sinus. That was was pretty easy, and pretty important to me. I play volleyball and am having shoulder problems, and I've played my last few tournaments since my diagnosis without taking any ibuprofen for fear of getting sick b/c info online was sketchy. So that's good to know.... (btw, anyone know about Motrin?)
Robitussin - Most Robitussin products are gluten free, I specifically asked about Robitussin DM and Robitussin Chest Congestion. She said the liquid and the Robitussin Cough Gels are gluten free.
ChapStick - She was able to say that ALL ChapStick products are gluten-free. Has anyone else heard this before? I'm interested to see what someone else might hear if they call.
Centrum - I am currently taking Centrum Advanced Formula, but today was my last dose. She said that they can confirm that it is "wheat-free" but cannot confirm at this time that it does not have gluten from other sources. She said that it is being tested and they should have this information in the near future.
And that's all. Just wanted to share! Let me know if anyone has gotten conflicting information from the same source!
Thanks,
Joe
