I've searched and found great answers on this forum about "natural flavors" and "artificial flavors", but can anyone tell me what to do about the term "spices" on an ingredient label? Will I need to call the company each time (unless it's a company on the list of "Companies Who Disclose")?

THANKS!

McCormmick does not hide gluten, it will clearly list.
Kraft is another company that practices this.

Yes, unless it's a company that is known to disclose any gluten on the label, I would check out "spices" with the individual company. :)

If you buy spices under the Wegman's brand name if they are gluten free they will be labeled as such. Walmart also labels their house brand as gluen free.
