Does anyone know if the Unsweetened Medium Shredded Coconut from Bob's Red Mill is gluten-free? It's not on their gluten-free list and that concerns me. The allergen statement says manf in a facility that uses tree nuts and soy...

LOL I'm answering my own question. Here is the response I received from Bob's:

Thank you for your email and for your interest in Bob’s Red Mill Natural products. Although the Unsweetened Medium Shredded Coconut is naturally gluten free it is packaged in the same facility as wheat, rye, and barley and on the same equipment so it is not certified gluten free and there could be a chance of cross contact. We do thoroughly clean in between each line of products we run, first with air pressure and then by running 25lbs of product through, discarding it and running the rest of the product through. Hope this information is helpful and have a terrific day.

Glad they werre able to give you an answer. When I was first diagnosed, I tried their corn flour that is produced in their regular plant. Boy was that a mistake. I was sick for days. I personally wouldn't take a chance on any of the products from their regular facility. So far, their gluten-free products are great for us, I just wish there were more! :)
