Just a heads up about a drug manufacturer.
Watson Pharmaceuticals is not a gluten free facility! I spoke with a pharmacist there this morning and she said "we don't test any of our products for gluten." I take a generic fiorinal that is manufactured by them. I have been getting a reaction similar to a gluten reaction from other sources - increased heart rate/heart pounding. I will no longer take them, since they don't know what's in the pill.

What is the generic fiorinal you are taking??? I take Butalbital w/Caffeine and have not idea how to find out who the manufacturer is or if it contains gluten. I asked the pharmicist and they said it didn't but they really didn't know what gluten was so I dont think he even knew what he was talking about.

Each pharmacy may have a different policy, but Walgreens lists the name of the manufacturer on the prescription bottle. I didn't realize it was there until I started calling on my meds.

Just because a manufacturer does not test for gluten, does not mean that it's not gluten free.
I don't know if this is the case with this company, but many companies cannot - correction, WILL NOT declare a product gluten free, even though there are no gluten ingredients. Companies are concerned about law suit and will put out a CYA statement.
And then again, your information is just as good as the customer service employee that spoke to you. Try to call at another time and see if you get the same answer.
