I know most alcohol is gluten-free. However, I used to enjoy wine coolers and the rest of those fun fruity drinks that come in 4-6 packs. They all say "malted". Since it's alcohol, do they still contain gluten or are they safe to drink? If someone knows the answer to this, please share.

Malted wine cooler beverages are not gluten-free, wine based ones (will not say malted on the label) are ok I think.

If you're looking for that fruity wine taste, have you considered sangria? It's one of my favorite "dessert" beverages.
