Well, I am happy to say that I just got the results from my endoscopy and blood tests. I have been gluten-free for almost one year and the doctor said I am completely healed!!!! I was SO excited. All this research/work paid off. My blood tests were all negative for celiac also! So, I am just letting you all know that it is very possible. I go out to eat all the time and never have any problems. I had a really hard time coping with the change in the beginning, but now I can sit with my friends while they are eating pizza and not care. If anyone is having problems on finding things to eat ,or what to do when they go out, definitely let me know. I would be happy to share any info. I have with anyone. Just email me! :P

Dear Jaimek, would you mind my asking if you had done an endoscopy with your initial diagnosis, and all the blood tests? If you did, how much damage had the first endoscopy shown? I'm in the 6th month of trying to do this, and getting discouraged, but your post is giving me hope. thanks, dreamhouses

I was diagnosed by an edoscopy and blood tests, both of which were positive for celiac. My doctor did not give me the exact outcome of the tests but he told me that my villi were completely flat and extremely damaged. There is hope! Don't give up. I have never cheated (intentionally that is), had a couple accidents but that is it. I am extremely careful with everything. Let me know if you have any other questions! :D

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
