My doctor told me to start taking Benefiber to help with C (along with Miralax haha). The first ingredient on the package was wheat dextrose but right underneath the ingredients it said gluten free. It said it had only 10 ppm or something like that. Do celiacs still get sick if it's that little? I didn't get that one, I stuck with Metamucil. How can they call it gluten free if the first ingredient is wheat?

I told my new GI doc that was what I was taking and she told me to stop because it was no longer gluten-free (I didn't check the lable for a few years...they had changed their formula). I actually take Fiber Choice. Their website says that it's gluten free as well. I think I was also told that citrucel was gluten-free as well....I wouldn't try to risk something with the first ingredient that has the word "wheat" in it.
