Hi,
A friend of mine and chiropractor believe that I have the following condition
http://en.wikipedia....ing_spondylitis
Basically i have very stiff joints and although I am only 32 I feel like my body is 65+
There is the belief that I can reduce or eradicate this problem by reducing or taking starch out of my diet. However the problem is that I am fitness mad and am worried that all the foods I need to cut out give me energy.
Any idea how I can keep my energy and weight and still cut the carbs.
Thanks

You could always do meat and salad for protein and vitamins. Perhaps do sports drinks for energy? Dried and fresh fruit also might be an option.
Good luck! There always seem to be substitutes if you search hard enough...

This is a partial quote found in the opening paragraph from the link you provided.
Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic, painful, degenerative inflammatory arthritis primarily affecting spine and sacroiliac joints, causing eventual fusion of the spine; it is a member of the group of the autoimmune spondyloarthropathies with a probable genetic predisposition. Complete fusion results in a complete rigidity of the spine.
Did you actually read that? I know 3 people with this condition, and it is true that you can somewhat reduce the pain levels by reducing or eliminating starches, the disease is degenerative and progressive and diet does not eradicate it.
