Hi Guys. Just moved from Austin to Boston, I was born and mostly raised in California, though...so I'm from all over the place.
Anyone from this area still waiting to be diagnosed/starting the gluten-free diet?
I am a bit clueless...if you can help, I've just posted something here: http://www.glutenfre...showtopic=50105

Hi there,
Welcome to Boston! I just moved here at the end of April from Santa Cruz, CA and already have a pretty good handle on gluten-free restaurants and where to get gluten-free products. Boston is so great as far as finding places to eat that accommodate your diet. Let me know if you want to talk further and I'll get you my email address.

I'll take that advice! I have found a lot of places, but I've only been here a few months so I'm sure you know lots that I don't.

I'm in Metrowest and I've only been on the diet a month and I'm still getting used to the changes it brings.

Hi all!! I know it's a bit later than you all posted but I'm from Boston as well. I went gluten-free in Dec of 2008. I've figured out a good bit of what's going on around here. Went to undergrad at Northeastern and now I'm working and doing grad school back at NU. Any questions or just to connect with a fellow GFer shoot me a message!

I am in the tiny state of RI just to the south.
Are there any gluten-free bakers in the Boston area who would like to swap tips and do some baking with me?
I used to live in Mass. (Boston and Cambridge, etc.) so I know the area.

Long history of IBS, and stomach/intestinal problems. Low on iron for all of my life.
Low on energy, with aches and pains in my joints and in my whole body for as long as I can remember.
Mostly lactose intolerant for all of my life (except for yoghurt)
Diagnosed in 2003 by naturapath as wheat intolerant. Tried it then fell of the wagon. In Feb. 2010 tried going gluten-free.
Went back to the poison in March, 2010.
Tested negative for celiac in April, 2010 (based on negative biopsy and normal tTG test). IgA tested 30-40 percent higher than normal.
Not going to fight the diagnosis because I refuse to go back to the poison. Happily gluten-free for health reasons as of April 2010, and not looking back.
