I've been gluten free for nine weeks now & it seems that all dairy products bother me. I'm having painful bloating & acid reflux & it seems that dairy makes it worse. I think it's the protein in the milk not the lactose that's hard for my damaged intestines to digest.
But from what I've read on this forum, it does get better with time. I'm hoping I'll be able to drink milk again once my stomach is healed. It might take months...
I did try the Rice Chex cereal with regular milk about a month ago. I had very bad bloating with it. I just wonder if my stomach is so sensitive right now & the milk probably bloated me too. So, I've been just eating rice, eggs & ham for breakfast these days. I did cut out dairy for a while again.
Boy, do I miss my milk & cereal! What a bummer!
