I have often noticed that my hair is so dry and brittle it won't do anything, I called it an episode. I usually have nice hair, nails and skin but until now I couldn't figure out why I went through periods of extreme dryness. Even the whites of my eyes would look yellow, I just seem to look as bad as I feel. Does this have anything to do with celiac? :(

Hi there!!

I'm no doctor, but being a mother I had a baby who was jaundiced, and that sounds like what you are experiencing with the whites of your eyes being somewhat yellow. You might want to contact your doctor and find out what is going on.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better.

Just thought I might comment on your post.
Hypothyroidism can cause dry skin and hair.( I have read that Hashimotos Thyroiditis is related to Celiac disease). Jaundice causes yellowing of the eyes and skin, along with dark urine being another symptom of liver dysfunction.
Definantly go see a doctor!
Hope this helps
