I use if off and on when I feel the need. I am drinking it right now. I have never heard that aloe is dangerous. If you eat/drink the latex and the bitter alkyloids then yeah, you can get into some trouble. George's removes those irritants.

Incidentally a part of aloe called betamannon cured me of pre-cancerous cervical cells. Aloe is my friend. :)
GLUTEN FREE 4/4/08. LEGUME/SOY FREE 5/15/08. YEAST FREE. CORN FREE. GRAIN FREE. DAIRY FREE. I am eating all meats, eggs, veggies, fruits, squash, nuts and seeds. I just keep getting better every day. :)

I was taking aloe whole leaf supplements on and off for a year, which really helped with my constipation but i discontinued since i discovered that the supplements contained the laxatives and irritants. i am still concerned that it may have caused damage and made my gut even more sensitive than it already is, but hopefully not.

My nutritionist suggested George's aloe for me prior to my colectomy. It helped me a lot and I have been giving it to my two celiac daughters. They are very sensitive and do not react to the aloe. In fact, my one daughter was diagnosed with EE as well as celiac - her EE went into remission within 6 months while taking aloe (and observing a strict allergen free diet). I love George's aloe!!! I am very sensitive to changes in my diet, too, with my j-pouch and am fine with George's.
