if an label read free of soy, dairy and so forth, but then said gluten-containing ingredients are not added to this formula. But in the ingredient list it shows oat fiber and oat beta-glucan.

Do you know yet how you react to oats? Most oats are cross-contaminated by grains we can't have during handling. Some of us even react to gluten-free oats. If I were you I would avoid oat products until you know how you react to gluten-free oats, and then I would stll avoid oats if they're not guaranteed gluten-free.

I can tolerate oats. Technically oats do not contain gluten. So, unless it was said that it contained certified gluten free oats, I would probably stay away from it. Since oats are so often contaminated.

I had the same problem about 2 months ago. I was just diagnosed and I am pretty sure I reacted poorly to the beta-oat ingredient..it was used as a fiber source in one of those powder shakes. Since Gluten free oats are so hard to come by i would assume that it has gluten in it unless its a pure gluten-free Oats like Bob's Redmill, and even with that I'm waiting until after i talk to the specialist. :-( Sorry!

It is in a protein drink, i wonder if they are the same one.

I did react when i was taking it. I broke out with DH. I just wanted to check with others and see if this could be the source of my breaout. I was kinda second guessing myself since many say oats are not an problem for celiacs.

thanks for all the help

Enlarged lymph nodes in neck and groin with celiac are not uncommon. They can take time to reduce even after going gluten-free. Monitoring is key.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
