I've been teated positive for celiac, and even though I try to be gluten-free as much as possible (99.999%!) there is an occasional mishap where I get glutened. :( . The problem now is that I have been having a extremely disdended stomach, and I feel like a blimp. . The GI Dr. says its IBS.(Instant BS I say!)

HALP

im just as round as this smiley ->

I tried not eating much today and I still got bloated, then I was starving, so I ate the whole turkey leg, so that does not help. i was too sick to make veggie soup. :(

If anybody has any quick suggestions it would be gr8tly appreciated.

Thanx :D

Have you eaten anything different? Or more than usual of something you usually only eat a little of? Keep a food diary or at least good mental notes. Hopefully you'll notice something.

 Tell you doctor you didn't pay to find out your bowel was irritated. You already know that. You paid to find out what was causing the irritation!

I never see anyone mention bile, but if you google "celiac bile", it's a common thing to not have enough bile excreted during digestion. I have a supplement that has pig bile, betaine HCl (acid) and various enzymes, and it really helps with the bloating.

PS- I love llamas too! I live right down the street from a llama and alpaca farm.

Cinnamon that is interesting. I test as having very low levels of bile.

Probiotics can help as well.

Are you also constipated? Magnesium may help things move along.

Mine is definitely triggered by inflammation and stress! I do also have arthritis in my spine, but the pain is more in my pelvic area. Im sure i have other food intolerances or other autoimmune isues but the more I focus on it and see doctor after doctor, it just gets worse.  Best thing is get of Gluten! (I also avoid lactose). Try to limit stress and anything that causes inflammation in your body.

Good morning,   I got an email about replies to this post. Some of my doctors had blamed a slipped disc for the pain I had and that contributes, but after meeting with a gastroenterologist AGAIN and trying some lifestyle modifications, I found out I have IBS and can't tolerate corn or excessive fructose to any degree. Cutting out corn AFTER having cut out all gluten containing products was a real pain but I feel much better now!

So, I contacted Scott Adams, the author of that article and also the creator/admin of this website, and pointed out to him the need to clarify the information in the paragraph in question. He has now updated the paragraph and it is clear that the DGP-IGA does serve the purpose of circumventing the false negatives that IGA deficiencies can generate in the tTG-IGA antibody test.

Has anyone experimenced enlarged lymph nodes with celiac? Both in the neck and groin area. Imaging of both areas have said that lymph nodes are reactive in nature. However, they have been present for months and just wondering how long this may take to go down. Been gluten-free for about two months. Blood counts are normal.
