My husband and I have been married for 6years and were waiting to have kids till our late 20's (which is pretty much now). I had my laparoscopy done last Tuesday to check out if I had endometriosis or any other problem if it wasn't that. I go in today for my post op but my dr told my husband after the operation that it was mild endo...I find out more today.
We decided I am going off of my birth control after this pack is done this week and are wanting to expand/start our family which we hope is still possible. One of the things I am afraid of though is that I take Heart Medication for my pulse (to help keep it down). My heart dr mentioned Inderal and Propranolol but my Gyno said he would prefer Procardia. I have no one that I know of that has been in this type of situation. Has anyone else been on heart medication then got pregnant and had good luck with any other safe/gluten free medication?
My gyno who is also a OBGYN said that there is a percentage of people that don't already take heart medicine but when they get pregnant they have heart palps and some will take Procardia or ___ to help it while they are pregnant so I do trust him but just wanted to see if there was anyone else out there in a similar situation or any input...
This would be our first child so I am new to all of it in general (other then seeing my 2 nephews and 2 nieces grow up). I am also nervouse about the whole gluten free and pregnancy situation but that would be another post...
Thanks for reading all of my rambling...
Any input is appreciated.
