If my pregnancy triggered celiac, do you think that a second pregnancy would trigger another AI disease that I would be genetically predisposed to? Like Type 1 diabetes, or lupus or something along those lines?

My husband and I were talking about it yesterday. I figured someone here would have an idea... it does sound unlikely, but it never hurts to ask.
That article was very interesting.

This is a little too medical for me, but I like the bottom line:
http://jcs.biologist...ract/118/8/1559
Pregnancy therefore results in the acquisition of cells with stem-cell-like properties that may influence maternal health post-partum. Rather than triggering disease, these cells may instead combat it.

I wanted to ask the exact same question.
My daughter is about to turn 4, and I just learned I had Celiac last week. But, I have had more gas since having her, so i am assuming my pg did unmask it.
With my pregnancy I also had severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP, so that scares me as it is. But, now I am also worried another AI issues will come out if I do decide to try for #2.
It is such a difficult decision. I am so envious of people who can just TTC so easily without a care in the world.
