I just wanted to get some ideas of what everyone feels is a "must have" in your kitchen to support a gluten-free life.

I have found that I LOVE any product by Pamela...especially the Ansie biscotti cookies and her brownies mix!!!

I have also made my own flour blends, put them in canisters and labeled them. That way it is easy to just scoop out what you need, instead of measuring all the flours each time you want to bake something.

Thanks in advance everyone!! :)

Hi, a must have in my cupboard is gluten-free Pretzels and corn flakes! I use a crushed mixture on my chicken strips!
Also, the crushed pretzels are perfect for anything calling for bread crumbs, such as meatballs!

I also have in my freezer a "graham cracker" crust substitute for pies, lemon meringue, blueberry, apple, and is excellent for cheesecake too!

I found this online, sorry don't know who to give credit to... it's very good and easy to make!

G.F. Graham Wafer Base Substitute

1-1/2 cups G.F. flour
1/2-cup margarine (melted)
1/2-cup brown sugar
1/2-cup chopped nuts (I use slivered almonds)

Mix ingredients and spread evenly but lightly in a 9" x 13" baking pan
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
Stir until well crumbled, return to oven and bake 10 minutes more until browned evenly
Cool and use as a base for any desserts calling for a graham wafer base

Hint: Double the recipe and store the rest for future use.

G.F. Flour Mixture

The G.F. flour mixture is made up with
6 cups of white rice flour
2 cups tapioca flour
1 cup potato starch flour

Enjoy! :D

Corn starch, potato starch, garbanzo beean flour, tapioca flour, soy flour. I blend them all one for one to make my own gluten-free flour, and use my blend 50/50 with cornstarch for cooking. gluten-free pretzels and M-O-M corn bursts for quick snacks. Honey. Flax.

My favorite pancake recipe:

1/4 c my gluten-free blend
1/4 c corn starch
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp veg oil
1/2 tsp honey
2 oz milk

Stir it all together until thick and fairly lump-free. Dump into hot oiled skillet. Turn burner WAY DOWN, cover with a lid. When golden brown on bottom, flip. Flatten a bit with spatula, cover. When golden brown, it should be done inside. Put on a plate, top it, and enjoy!

*Fresh Fruits and Veggies
*Meat (hamburger to make in a hurry things like tacos)
*Eggs (an omlet is easily thrown together when you can't find anything else)
*Tortilla chips and salsa
*Cheese (shreaded, sliced, block, velveeta, LOVE cheese)
*Breakfast bars (genisoy, thinkthin, glutino)
*Canned beans (refried, kidney, pinto to make chili or bean burritos in a hurry)
*Fruit Juice
*rice flour
*corn starch
*gluten-free Cereal
*Amy's Frozen dinners
*Amy's Frozen rice crust pizza
*Frozen French fries (Ore-Ida)
*Pizza Sauce in the squeeze bottle
*Ketchup (Heinz)
*BBQ sauce (Sweet baby Ray's)
*Chili and Taco seasoning packets (william's)
*boullion cubes (herbox)
*spices (use them all the time, McCormick)
*frozen chopped onion (figure since I cook, i need to save time in other ways)
*frozen chopped green pepper
*Sghetti Sauce
*tomato sauce

I'll have to add to my list if I think of more things. I cook all the time. There aren't any Outbacks or PFChang's within a 2 hour drive of me, so I don't go out to eat (except occasional McD's). Therefore I need a stocked kitchen. I love to cook and like to think I am pretty good at it. ;) So there is a list of things that I always keep on hand at my house. I'm sure I have left some things off. Hope it gives you some ideas though.
