Biocard Home Testing

I am thinking about getting the Biocard to test my 90 year old mother who has all the symptoms but my family doesn't think that we should put her through the trouble of testing and following a gluten free diet at her age. Of course these are the same people that have symptoms and don't want to get tested either. But, I can't stand her suffering - I know what it is like to be nauseated all the time. She also gets very dizzy heads. She is really suffering. All my life I can remember her saying "Oh it is my crazy head again". I am sure if she knew that not eating gluten would make her feel better she would be happy to quit eating the bread she loves. :rolleyes:

If there is any one out there that had a positive result talking the Biocard home test please answer. I do not want to bother doing this test on my mom if it doesn't work.

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
