In my third gluten free week, I've now had 4 nights of sleeping through the night, and no Restless Legs either after dinner or at midnight. I haven't slept this well in about 16 years. I'm really happy but could this just be a blip? Its the diet or the magnesium supplement or both.
I can't believe the improvement in my health this diet has brought, I'm not even diagnosed by a doctor. I keep thinking the good things will go away and it was all a fluke.

In my research and experience, it is no fluke that the magnesium helps. I'm so glad you're feeling better!
A spherical meteorite 10 km in diameter traveling at 20 km/s has the kinetic energy equal to the calories in 550,000,000,000,000,000 Twinkies.

Thanks Rice Guy, it was your suggestion for magnesium that got me to take it. I had it at home from a while ago but I never took it.
I guess even if this is all a fluke, I'll enjoy the interlude while I have it!

I take no supplements. My sleep improved with a diet change. For you, it could be either, or both, that's helping.

It is not a fluke. I sleep much better, much deeper and much less since changing my diet. I have been on Magnesium for years for another problem and that did not really help. My restless leg syndrome has hit me only twice in the last few months, once when glutened and once when I stayed up till 3am. I tended to get it when tired.
