First, thank you to all of those who have given such great insight to traveling! Since this is my first post - a quick history of me - I am moving to Barcelona Spain this summer and am curioius if anyone knows of gluten-free milk and yogurt products out there. I will be living there for at least a year and plan on doing a lot of cooking and I've read that some superkmarkets carry gluten-free bread and pasta, but I haven't come across anyone saying if there are issues with the dairy. Many thanks to all responses!

There are a lot of gluten-free food options in Spain. El Corte Ingles has a gluten-free section and there are even little stores that sell mostly gluten-free food. I found at least 2 little shops in Barcelona that had stuff. I can't answer about the dairy since I am a vegan, but you can always contact companies like you would in the US. I called a Spanish jam company. If you go for regular milk, you should be fine, though. I spent a summer in Spain, so, feel free to message me if you want.

Thank you for the reassurance! I'll figure it out more once I get there but I'm trying to pre-plan as much as possible. It would be easiest to call the company after seeing what is available.

This may help you (celiac disease association in Barcelona):

http://www.celiacsca...g/cas/index.php

They publish a book with all the products you can or can't eat and you will find everything you must know to do your shopping safely. You won't have no problems in BCN (well, maybe some eating in restaurants, like everywhere)

check the web:

-Dieta sin Gluten - Donde Comprar - Barcelona. 143 shops.

-Enlaces - Restaurantes - Barcelona. Gluten free restaurants.

Enjoy it.
