Would like to get an idea of those that would be interested in starting a support group in the area for surrounding towns? Chelmsford, Westford, Lowell, Billerica, Bedford, Nashua and so many more ......

All ideas and suggestions would also be helpful for creating and running such a group.

How to get printed information donated, centralized meeting place that would be free to use, special speakers, maybe cooking/baking classes....

So many questions not yet thought of.

I'm new to my own personal experience, but have watched and listened to my mother and what she goes thru for the past 17 years. I'm just glad to have found out early, she unfortunately had progressed quite far before being diagonsed. Even now - the slightest thing affects her, she is also lactose intolerant.

Contact the Celiac Disease Foundation. They will be more than glad to send you a starter kit which has some great information.

And, good luck!

Hi All
You can count me in. I live in Bedford, MA
I can look into getting the meeting room at Middlesex Bank in Bedford, for no charge.

Keep me posted,
Laura

Hi,

My name is Bev and I would also be interested in forming a new support group. I am located in Manchester NH, but travel to MA for work. Have heard other support groups are useful for sharing resources (ie: the multitude of cook books and references that are important during those first few months) and for being able to buy in bulk to offset the costs of some of the gluten free items.
