I started having hypnogogic hallucinations about 10 years ago. With what I've been reading everywhere about celiac linked to sleep problems, I'm really hoping these will improve (and maybe even go away!).
Initial diagnosis (blood tests) - April 22, 2009
Biopsy scheduled - May 29
Continuing to eat "regular" diet including gluten until biopsy results received.

Aged 39
Two children (boys born 2003 and 2007)
No history of celiac in the family

I can only tell you about myself, but I have had several periods in my life that I was so fatigued I was "seeing things". Absolutely petrifying to be driving down the road and seeing People, animals, you name it in the road. It's a wonder I didn't cause a major accident. More so at night, but sometimes in the day. I was too tired even to be concerned enough to go to someone about them. Knew it was related to the fact that I didn't get much sleep. It passed. The worst episodes, in retrospect, were not long lived. This was all long, long before I heard of Celiac. As I look back I see many, many health issues that I now tie to Celiac. With a diagnosis and the diet many of them are no longer a problem.

Hope this helps a little. With luck your problems will disappear when you can get a handle on the sleep and fatigue issues :)

YES!

I used to get them a LOT, actually.

I'm not sure if I actually have the disorder as of yet, though...

But aren't they the strangest things?
