Wondering

Okay. I am very new to this and well, I have not even found a doctor yet. I am forty years old and sometimes think I am pre-menopausal, but never heard of hives being a symptom. I started having hip problems a while back. I have never been very flexible, but now it hurts to just cross my legs. I have been experiencing migraines more frequently, but I just started having different symptoms last week. I did notice I had been eating lots more junk than normal.. I got a headache, felt cold, tired and unmotived for three days. Then I started getting itchie on my knees, elbows and ankles and it appeared to be turning into hives. Benedryl worked once or maybe it was coincidence because I woke up and my skin looked better. Then I went and had a bagel for breakfast and the hives came back. I took Benedryl again, the headache came back and this time I felt like I had a fever, but checked and it was 87.6. I've been searching the net for all kinds of things this could be related to and only found a few. I decided I would recheck my temperature first thing in the morning. I do experience being tired, but then always get a restless night of sleep. I took my temperature at 3:30 am and it was 87.2 and the same at 7 am.

The hives are not as bad today, I have not eaten much with gluten...but a barley wheat grass drink, then noticed my knee started itching again. (not as much, though)

With your low body temp have you looked into thyroid problems?

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
