Hi everyone,

I haven't been diagnosed with Celiac Disease (I haven't been tested for it), but I think I have it because I get cramps and diarrhea any time I ingest any gluten whatsoever. So I've been on a gluten-free diet for over a year... although there's been maybe 3 or 4 times since then that I've ingested some by accident. The most recent time this happened was about a week ago. And here's my problem... I have lost 5 pounds since that happened (and I was already really underweight...due to other issues). I only had diarrhea the day after I got "glutened", and since then I've actually had constipation. So I think I'm just not absorbing the nutrients from my food. I'm just wondering how long it's going to take for my intestines to heal so I can gain weight. I've read it can take several months, but is that still true if it's just ONE meal with gluten?
