I have a question for the masses. Should someone work at a doughnut shop(Tim Hortons) if they have Celiac? Is it safe or are they constantly getting glutened by being in that environment? My wife was diagnosed three weeks ago and we have been trrying hard to stay gluten free but she is still feeling the same.

Thanks for any responses to this.

i worked at wal-mart for over six months. one day they put me in a bakery...and i thought nothing of it because it was only a few hours and i would be wearing gloves. stil i got sick the next day and had not eaten any suspicious foods. now i dont know for certain this is what caused it but i suspect it did. being in that environment daily would greatly increase her chances of being glutened. i wouldnt risk it!

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
