Just wanted to post about our experience at Skosh Monahan's last night in Costa Mesa. They're located at 2000 Newport Blvd, close to where the 55 fwy ends in Costa Mesa....sort of an Irish pub/sports bar plus restaurant.

They have an extensive gluten free menu, which includes several appetizers, pizzas, pasta, seafood, steaks, etc., plus gluten free ale and dessert!!

Plus they have two special kids menus: one is gluten free and the other is gluten free and dairy free!

I was just so impressed....the staff was very knowledgeable! We were a family of four with two adults and two toddlers, all of us gluten free, and the littlest one is gluten free, soy free and dairy free. We were all able to eat and did not get sick and the food was great!

Multiple autoimmune diseases, including celiac, Hashimoto's, psoriasis, autoimmune hepatitis, RA, SLE. Also have fibromyalgia.

Tested Fall 2008: bloodwork, biopsy negative; HLA DQ8. Doctor believes results negative due to prednisone and Imuran taken for autoimmune hepatitis.

Dx with celiac disease because of dietary response, genetics, and family history of celiac disease.

Dx with Lyme Disease Jan 2010; Lyme likely triggered some of the AI diseases.

Gluten free since 25 Nov 2008
