If anyone is interested they are talking about a study (not the best analysis, I think) on the prevalence.

Very interesting, thank you for sharing that. It does seem like we might expect to read more media articles about it bc 1 in 100 means celiac disease is quite prevalent.

may '09: tested neg. for celiac but have extremity numbness, ataxia, headaches etc. -- in other words enough reason to go gluten free to test my response

I just read this. It was ok, but not great. I left a comment about how food labeling and regulations are horrible in this country. It seemed like most of the comments on this article were from people who really didn't get it either... which means better articles need to be written.
Gluten free since Feb 2006, Dairy and Soy free since 2009
Anemic off and on since 2003
Negative tTG Ab, IgA, Gliadin Ab IgA, wheat allergy (IgE) blood tests (Feb 2006)
Positive wheat allergy skin test(Apr 2006)and dietary response (Feb 2006)
Celiac grandmother (Dx in 1940s, "grew out of it")
Training for my first triathlon to support the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

Oh, wow, I just read thru all 5 pages of comments on that. What a trip.
There were definitely some people there that have taken trolling about auto immune diseases to new heights.
On the other hand, the sheer number of people who at least knew what celiac and gluten intolerance was, or thought they knew
, seemed to be much higher than a few years ago. So that is some progress.
