It's my fourth hike-a-thon this year! If you'd like to follow the journey, check out my trip reports on my blog:
Lost in the Mind of a Tiffany: Hiking Through the Neurons.
As a gluten-free bonus, you'll hear all about the food I take for day trips and for backpacking.

Four trip reports up so far, though only one is a backpacking trip featuring food.
For the rest of the day trips, it's mostly some variety of bar form foods - various ones that I often 'try out' on the trail.

There's another set of blog reports up for Golden Lakes Loop, a four day backpacking trip this past weekend.
It starts here: http://www.momentum-yoga.com/tarnalberry/a...date/2009/08/15; there are five entries over four days.
The food I took:
- 1) snackage for lunch/snacks
- 1) a bunch of random Gluten-free Casein-free bars - mostly clif nectar, bumble bars
- 2) a little bit of trail mix
- 3) home dried mangoes, blueberries, bananas, and strawberries
- 4) green bean "chips" (from trader joe's)
- 5) homemade flaxmeal & banana crackers
- 2) freezer-bag cooking meals for breakfast and dinner
- 1) dehydrated eggs and potatoes o'obrien
- 2) dehydrates eggs with lentils and tomatoes
- 3) cream of rice with quinoa flakes, flax meal, cinnamon, and sugar
- 4) dehydrated homemade chicken-rice soup
- 5) dehydrated lentils with chicken and veggies
- 6) dehydrated amaranth and fire roasted tomatoes with polish keilbalsa
- 3) dessert
- 1) dark chocolate (of course!)
- 2) chocolate coconut instant pudding (made with cornstarch, cocoa powder, sugar, and dried coconut milk)
