Are There Any Corn/potatoe Chips That Are 100% Safe?

As of 8/09 - Candida Overgrowth, C.difficile overgrowth, elevated fecal anti-gliadin, elevated putrefactive SCFA's
Developed severe lactose intolerance, IBS and food sensitivities in 02 after contracting Giardia from a river in Oregon
Had negative celiac blood work in 02
Elevated stool anti-gliadin Ab (21 with 10 being cutoff for normal) - 2008
Positive for DQ8- 2008
Tested high positive for egg, dairy, soy, ginger, mustard - 2008
Lactulose/Mannitol (leaky gut) test indicated slight intestinal permeability
Improved with gluten free diet but still have spastic constipation

1989: I am diagnosed with IBS.
3/08: 8-year-old son diagnosed with Celiac (blood test and biopsy) and allergies to corn, egg whites, soy, peanuts, walnuts, wheat, and clam.
6/08: My Celiac test is negative.
7/08: I go completely gluten free despite negative test and NO MORE IBS SYMPTOMS!!
7/09: My Enterolab gluten sensitivity gene testing results indicate I have one Celiac gene and one gluten sensitivity gene.
8/09: I am diagnosed with Celiac based on gene testing results and positive response to diet.

Son has IgE allergies to peanuts and corn
Hashimoto's, MCAD, pregnancy loss at 17 weeks
HLA-DQB1*0302 (celiac), HLA-DQB1*0301 (gluten sensitive)
Serological equivalent 3,3 (subtype 8,7)
Extensive family history of autoimmune disorders and related symptoms

BTW, are Frito corn chips safe? i always eat those when im on the road

Stax are made on a dedicated line. There is no risk of CC. Frito corn chips are gluten free but not made on a dedicated line. Some people have issues with Frito Lay products because of this. My own son gets leg cramps when he eats too much Lays.

I used to eat regular Lays chips all the time, never had a problem with them...the bags from Plano Texas are ok...but, they changed their oil from sunflower/safflower oil to sunflower/corn oil, I won't touch them anymore.

We urge all doctors to take time to listen to your patients.. don't "isolate" symptoms but look at the whole spectrum. If a patient tells you s/he feels as if s/he's falling apart and "nothing seems to be working properly", chances are s/he's right!

i eat tostitos quite often (twice just this week already) because i had looked it up and they were considered a safe food. according to the website they still are? where did you see they are no longer safe?

They literally have dozens if not hundreds of foods on their gluten free food list which you can download from their website. Whole Foods also has dedicated gluten free sections.
I don't know if you live close to a Trader Joe's or a Whole Foods, but if so, that's my suggestion.

Tested Fall 2008: bloodwork, biopsy negative; HLA DQ8. Doctor believes results negative due to prednisone and Imuran taken for autoimmune hepatitis.
Dx with celiac disease because of dietary response, genetics, and family history of celiac disease.
Dx with Lyme Disease Jan 2010; Lyme likely triggered some of the AI diseases.
