I had a baby a little over a year ago and nursed her until about a month ago, so I have been taking the same prenatal vitamin (Walgreen’s Finest) for almost 2 years. I stopped nursing about the same time that I ran out of prenatal vitamins so I didn’t go buy any more until last week. My husband and I are going to start trying to have another baby in a few months so my doctor told me to stay on the vitamins. I was at Wal-Mart so I picked up some Nature Made prenatal vitamins and I have had diarrhea ever since I started taking them. In between running out and starting a new brand of vitamins I went gluten-free. I have always had IBS with constipation related to gluten so this constant diarrhea is very new for me. I think the vitamin is the problem, but I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have always been anemic, so I’m wondering if maybe the Iron in the vitamin is now more than I need since I’m not eating gluten anymore. Any ideas?

I have been taking Nature Made Vitamins for 2 months or so now and have had no problems. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and seem to still be reacting well to them. Hope this helps.

I've been on Nature's Made Prenatals for about 3 months with no problems. Just found out yesterday that I'm about 4-5 weeks pregnant, and I haven't had any issues either. Sorry it's not much of a help.

I've been on nature made prenatal vitamins for 8 months with no issues. if anything, the iron usually constipates rather than causes diarrhea. if it doesn't clear up or gets worse, you may want to talk to your doctor to make sure nothing else is going on.

I stopped taking the vitamins and the diarrhea stopped. I'm running in a half-marathon on Sunday, so I'm going to wait until after that to try the vitamins again. I'm starting to think that I might not need as much vitamin support anymore...that is very exciting to me.
