Does anyone know of a good celiac doctor in Pittsburgh or surrounding areas. I currently have one that was recommended but he is not familiar with the neuro issues resulting from celiac. To make matters worse, the neuro I go to at UPMC is not familiar with celiac. I NEED help and welcome any recommendations. Will travel, will consider a naturopathic, just want relief from daily migraines, brainfog, fatigue etc. Thanks

Hello, I just wanted to let you know there is a wonderful one near downtown Pittsburgh, who knows a great amount and is especially kind and understanding. His name is Dr. Colatrella and he's in the Pittsburgh Gastro Assiociation.

Welcome Pittsburgers.
Three Rivers Endo in Moon Twp is another practice. 412-262-1000. One of the nurses is celiac. This group puts on a seminar every year. Sorry we just did it on Oct 17th...
I'm the founder of a gluten-free ministry in Butler, Pa. We have a wonderful group . I have been mentoring for years so if I can help you just ask. I meet with newbies several times a week. Doctors often refer their patients to me after the dx's. We also have a mini coop for purchasing gluten-free foods.
I also do test marketing for new gluten-free products. I only buy & eat the best of the best ....I can give you a heads up on whats worth buying & whats not. mainstream products & so on.
We are having a gluten-free dining experience on NOv 8th at 3:30 at Ferrara's in Sharon, pa. Several from the moon Twp area are attending , some from the Canton, Ohio GIG & a few from other places . Would you like to join us? Here is the info:
Many have asked that we get together before the snow begins to fly. How about November 8th, (Sunday) at 3:30 sharp we can meet for a “dining out” at Ferrara’s a Taste of Italy, at 1201 Hall Rd., Sharon PA. Here is the link www.ferraraatasteofitaly.com Check out their website with the Italian music and, the directions are on their website. They have good Italian gluten-free food, not just pizza. We can use the back room for free but we need at least 20 to attend. Everyone is welcome as well as family & friends. Both regular (with wheat & gluten) and gluten free is served. They also sell bread and have take-out. Ferrara’s is a favorite of several gluten-free support groups. Kraynak’s, at 2525 E State St in Hermitage has a neat store and a delightful Christmas display that is free to walk through. It is a favorite for young and old. It is a short distance to Ferrara’s from Kraynak’s. This would make a nice Sunday outing.
If you & yours would like to attend & meet other celiac friends just let me know.
