My parents live in Loudon, TN, near Knoxville and I'll be going to visit them next month. I've only been there one other time since I started eating gluten-free, and that was when I just started. We found one restaurant in the area that had a wonderful gluten-free menu (not sure of the name, Season's maybe?). Does anyone have other suggestions?
My mom discovered her grocery store has a decent gluten free section, but I also wondered if anyone has favorites or knows of a good health food store in the area?

You can get gluten-free pizza at Roman's in Knoxville. Call ahead or be prepared to wait. I'm walking out the door but I'll come back and share what I know.

Here is some information on Roman's Pizza as posted by another. I have yet to go there. I'm about 70 miles from Knoxville and we go there several times a year to a specialist. If you try it let us know.

Also I know there is an Earth Fare in Knoxville. You can go on Earth Fare's website and search locations. I'm sure there are other places, but I am not that familure with Knoxville.

Celiac disease(positive blood work/biopsy- 10/2008), gluten free oat intolerent, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis/Disease, Raynaud's Disease

DS2(age 7):
celiac disease(positive IgA tTG, no biopsy- 11/2010)

DS1(age 11):
repeated negative bloodwork and negative EGD/biopsy. Started on a gluten free trial(8/2011). He has decided to stay gluten free due to all of the improvements he has experienced on the diet.

Okay, so here's what I know.

This is a yummy place that can make most things gluten-free. It's not too expensive, either.

Go Nutrition is at 10961 Kingston Pike in Farragut. It's a small, privately owned store with a good selection and good prices.

We have a new Pei Wei in Turkey Creek. I've never been to one but you'll hear about it on this board.

This is a really new completely gluten-free place in at 5211 Kingston Pike. It's close to Wok Hay. I've eaten there once. The sandwich was okay. The dessert was great. It seemed pricey to me.

Something Savory in Maryville, 541 High Street. I haven't eaten here, but it gets RAVE reviews locally. It's not totally gluten-free but the owner is very savvy. Really, the only thing keeping me away is that it's 45 minutes away.

I haven't eaten at Seasons but my friend and her husband love it. It's far nicer than any of the places I've posted about. I keep pestering my husband to take me there!

TrillumHunter, I talked to my mom and she confirmed that the restaurant we went to on our last visist was Seasons. I highly recommend your husband takes you there!
