I started trying to be gluten free 2 weeks ago and so far its been ok. My doctor suggested a diet that did not contain gluten, dairy, or items high in sugar(no fruit or soda) for depression and sleep troubles amongst other issues. The first 9 or 10 days of gluten free was incredible;probably no depression at all and I was very shocked by how quickly this worked. The past 4 or 5 days have been ok. I've come to learn that the amino acids glutamine and proline are closely linked to celiac.

I've been taking these GNC shakes (PM Protein and amplified wheybolic extreme 60) for a while and did not cut them out of my diet. These shakes have exorbant amounts of proline and glutamine, as well as casein and small amounts of milk. I am going to cut these out now.

wanted to see what other people thought about this. Are removing the amino acids prolein and glutamine essential to living gluten free.
