I am a new member and newly diagnosed.
Is there such a thing as Gluten free beer?
I'm OK with the diet, but I miss a beer after work.........

Yes. Most liquor stores can order it for you. There are several threads on this forum that can tell you which brands have a gluten free beer. I know of RedBridge by Anneuser-Busch.

1960s-had symptoms-could have been before but don't remember
1970s-told had colitis or nervous stomach-was given phenobarbital, felt great but still had symptoms
Me, dd and ds diagnosed with Lactose Intolerance
2000-osteopenia
2001-had stroke because of medications I was given
June 2003-saw Chiropractor who specialized in nutrition: Celiac Disease not Lactose Intolerance, went gluten free with once in awhile cheating, off soy and dairy for about 6 months
June 2003-found excellent doctor for fibromyalgia (who has found out she has Celiac Disease)
May 2006-went gluten free with NO cheating-excellent! Made all the difference in the world

My husband thinks New Grist made by Lakefront Brewery is the best of the gluten free beers. We have been able to special order it from the liquor store.

Gluten Free 2/08
Dairy & Soy Free 8/08
Corn & Egg Free 3/10
Lots of autoimmune in family, no diagnosed celiacs. Non-supportive doctors...told there was nothing wrong with me. Tested by Enterolab. Diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia (6/10). Doing much better managing hypoglycemia in addition to no eggs or corn.

Yep, RedBridge, New Grist, and Bard's... those are your three choices. We have to get them from BevMo, and since the Bard's is mostly always sold out, we buy a case if it is there! The beer is sweeter, and fuller. I find that I can only drink two. So happy to find this beer! Cheers!

I've only been able to try Redbridge, which is carried by most Wal-marts and Kroger stores.
For my DH who loved Bud Ice and Bud Light--we water the Redbridge down some and he likes it better- me, too. I love dark beer, but I think it's a little heavy.
