I received this email yesterday from Busch Gardens upon emailing them to inquire about gluten free fods that could be located in the park. i was very impressed. they got back to me the very next day and were very forward and helpful. having never been there i was unsure what to expect but just knowing that they are aware and knowledgeable is comforting!

Dear Hannah,
Thank you for your email. I hope the following helps for you upcoming visit.

Here is some information on nut allergies and I also provided the gluten free
menu to help see food offered and where..

ˇ First of all, we are not able to offer a guarantee that any of food has not
come in contact with or been cross-contaminated by gluten or peanut products.

ˇ We do, however, have several meal and snack options in the park with no gluten
in the ingredients. A brief listing of these items is included on the next page.

ˇ We recommend that anyone with a severe or life threatening allergy speak with
a supervisor prior to ordering, to ensure that proper precautions are taken when
your order is being prepared.

ˇ Please keep in mind that the ice cream shops mentioned do carry peanuts as a
topping, so you should exercise extra care in these locations.

ˇ We can also arrange for you to bring food in the park and keep product cool if
needed.

ˇ We would also be happy to allow you to view specific food labels and discuss
preparation with our facility manager or supervisor on the day of your visit and
if you feel comfortable that the foods being prepared will meet your
requirements than you can proceed with purchasing them. You will also find that
the managers and supervisors of our facilities will be very accommodating with
your request and if you ask them to prepare product without bread or sauce they
will be happy to assist you.

On another note we are always trying to improve our menu variety to assist
guests with special needs so we welcome your suggestions either before or after
you visit the park on how we can better accommodate you in the future.

Once inside the park, if you will pick up our park map, you will find a dining
portion to it which should help direct you to specific restaurants that can best
meet your needs.

We use canola oil for frying and do not use peanuts or tree nuts.

Please be advised.... I was told by an employee that the French fries at grogans grill were fried separately and not with chicken nuggets....HOWEVER. .. When i spoke to the manager she stated that the French fries have a coating on them that has gluten in it.

Just an FYI - the original info was 5 years old. So .... Ingredients, procedures, etc change in that time frame.
